Job Description:

Summary:

The Regional Director is responsible for controlling and overseeing all aspects of business development and product promotion within an assigned geographical area, as well as the professional development and oversight of sales management and increasing sales in his/her assigned geographic and therapeutic area.

Responsibilities:

•Build, lead, coach and develop sales management teams focused on exceeding business expectations
•Fully understand brand strategy and translate it into a regional plan of action and drive sales
•Analyze and understand markets and customers, use knowledge to drive recommendations for sales force excellence, business optimization and expansion
•Create and grow relationships with KOLs and other key stakeholders within and outside Ferring to ensure maximum support and collaboration
•Identify new, unique and profitable business opportunities; devise strategies and measurable action plans to create meaningful business
•Develop and manage business relationships with key customers and major accounts
•Understand current and future market and healthcare industry trends; discern and leverage data to optimize business decisions
•Assess learnings and evaluate results of executed programs to optimize future initiatives that can lead to positive outcomes

Qualifications: 

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
•7+ years in pharma or specialty sales with 4+ years success as 1st or 2nd-line manager
•Ability to travel to perform job duties
•Prior job experience in marketing, market access, analytics, training or related functions
•Able to achieve or exceed sales objectives
•Ability to hire, motivate, develop and retain talent
•Able to identify potential customers and add to customer base
•Able to identify potential significant business opportunities
