Job Description

As Ipsen continues to grow and our business becomes more complex in all areas, the Associate Director/Director, Sales Analytics/Incentive Compensation will play an integral role in supporting all analytics needs to all franchises to meet our increasing business demand.

Associate Director/Director will be the Incentive Compensation subject matter expertise to all stakeholders, leading Incentive Compensation plan designs, managing Incentive Compensation administration, leading Incentive Compensation analytics and overall Incentive Compensation process management.

Associate Director/Director leads the sales analytics function in supporting all sales reporting, forecasting and franchise level insights to all franchises. He/she will possess strong project and vendor management expertise, familiarity with Veeva CRM and customer data management.

Associate Director/Director works directly with the marketing and sales management teams and conducts critical analyses, utilizing multiple data sources and providing an objective viewpoint and recommendations to key stakeholders. Interactions with Cross-functional teams such as Business Analytics, Sales Operations, Sales, Marketing, Value & Access as well as external analytics vendors to ensure coordination and execution of all initiatives.


• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of various incentive compensation plans including but not limited to goal, commission, MBO and relative rank plans. Develops and leverages incentive compensation plans and engagements activities to drive performance and morale
• End to end execution of Incentive Compensation Activities – Plan design, Goal Setting, IC Administration (Home Office and Field Report Processing), Ranking Reports, IC Scorecard, IC Payouts and Sales Reporting functions
• Provides consulting to stakeholders on IC best practices, customized solutions pertinent to business situations, being a thought leader in all IC related meetings
• Leads IC Plan administration activities, implements IC Plans, QC all IC reports and ensures timely distribution of reports to stakeholders
• Supports the commercialization strategy through in-depth analytics and provides recommendations
• Analyzes local market trends, issues, and customer needs and presents findings regularly to key stakeholders
• Synthesizes regional market insights, provides analytic support, and develops actionable recommendations in a cross -functional environment
• Performs in-depth assessments of key/strategic accounts to develop a deep understanding of the accounts’ decision-making and support network
• Tracks key regional performance indicators and identifies causal relationship between actions and outcomes
• Assists in CRM and data management functional areas, demonstrates solid knowledge of Veeva CRM and customer data expertise
• Demonstrates excellent vendor management skills and able to work with associates in different time zones.


Skills & Requirements

Experience and Education

• Strategic/Critical thinking
• Understands the unique dynamic and create customized IC Plans supported by modeling/analytics/simulations for all products.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a small environment as an individual contributor, as well as contributes as a team member
• Exceptional analytical and communications skills with ability to present key findings
• Experience in sales operations in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Expertise in data reporting
• Competency in forecasting modeling, high level of Excel and PowerPoint skills, especially in regards to graphing and visual presentation of data
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Experience in multitasking and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must
• Veeva CRM and customer data experience preferred
• Experience with field, marketing and sales analytics
• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• Field experience a plus
• Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry required
