Job Description

The Manager, Government and Commercial Pricing is an integral member of Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, Inc.’s Government Pricing and Value & Access teams. This role provides support with contract administration of Ipsen’s Commercial (GPOs and Hospitals) contracts and rebates, compliance with the company’s participation in federal programs’ and financial analysis. This important role encompasses three distinct areas of expertise and responsibility: Government Price Reporting, Contracts/Rebates Administration and Financial Analysis.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Support the Government Pricing team in data preparation, validation, calculation, and analytics related to Ipsen’s participation in the following Federal Program: Medicaid Drug Rebate, PHS340B, Federal Supply Schedule, Medicare Part B
• Compliance with Ipsen’s contracting policies and procedures
• Overall maintenance of GPO, PHS (Public Health Service 340B), Federal Supply Schedule and Wholesaler membership rosters
• Analyze and validate all data pertaining to chargeback submissions
• Update the Revenue Management System (Model N) to reflect a member’s start and end dates on a contract
• Participate in maintaining the Model N system, including performing system data validation, system maintenance and version upgrade testing
• Customer Master List: Class of Trade (COT) review—validate and update, as appropriate
• Respond to wholesaler inquiries from, as well as working with contracted entities to resolve Membership questions and discrepancies
• Prepare, calculate and process rebates and administrative fees (GPO, Hospitals and Federal)
• Support price notification process with wholesalers, commercial and federal customers
• Financial analysis to support key stakeholder’s efforts to make informed go/no-go pricing decisions
• Additional roles as needed to support teams during high demand cycles
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Skills & Requirements

Experience and Education:

• BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required
• 5 to 7 years experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies, pricing and contracts
• Experience in pharmaceutical federal programs (Medicaid, PHS340B, Federal Supply Schedule) a plus
• Experience working with and knowledge of pharmaceutical Revenue Management Systems. Model N experience a plus
• Prior Chargeback and deductions experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Detail oriented and pro-active problem solving expertise
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a time-sensitive manner

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on time management, follow-through, and issue resolution abilities
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Essential Functions:

• PC literacy required: Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience working with Revenue Management Systems—Model N a plus
• Required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.)
