Job Summary

The Senior Manager will:

• Act as an internal consultant to build strong relationships with executive management and unit management influencing strategic thinking around the utilization of technology to improve stakeholder engagement, operational effectiveness, and competitive advantage.
• Have in-depth knowledge of Commercial Sales, Marketing, Managed Markets, overall Pharma business processes and business challenges and actively identify ways to apply technology to business opportunities and processes in the corporate business units. Help solidify and act as a key contributor of the U.S digital strategy.
• Ensure technologies are harmonized with Commercial strategies to produce strong business outcomes.
• Leverage their considerable knowledge on Commercial Operations in order to be strategic in the scoping, planning, and execution of IT related initiatives. This resource is expected to achieve this by providing high quality project management support and other value-add services.

Responsibilities:

• Apply project management expertise, methodologies and department standards to effectively deliver enterprise-wide Commercial IT focused projects; strong focus on execution
• Well-versed in project portfolio management including project initiation and justification of new initiatives
• Interface with Digital/IT vendors prioritizing digital applications and other such initiatives. Provide coordination, consistency and ensure timelines and value for these initiatives.
• Responsible for organizational support of, and input to, the Project Management
Lifecycle rollout and continual improvement of project management capabilities
• Assist with creation of overall IT strategy and operational plans
• Provide input and manage the coordination of solution design and execution of projects / programs
• Provide continued support for departmental initiatives that may span outside the IT domain
• Leverage well developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with business customers and key stakeholders
• Develop, maintain, track, and manage high-quality, integrated project plans to enable accurate reporting and decision making
• Collaborate with overall team to define an iterative plan that provides key value–add deliverables throughout the project
• Manage the critical path of the project and key project risks

Qualifications: 

Skills & Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

? At least 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, with at least 7-10 years of Project Management experience supporting cross-functional teams is required.
? At least 10 years of experience in multiple organizational contexts, linking technology to business needs in biopharmaceutical industry. Some consulting background desirable.
? Thorough understanding of Commercial operations required, including domain awareness (e.g. interrelationship of departments, business priorities).
? Knowledge of Value and Access domain (i.e. gov’t pricing, G2N concepts) preferred.
? Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, managing teams, and managing processes.
? Skillful use of interpersonal skills and influence to accomplish work without formal authority and to ensure optimal team performance.
? Ability to work strategically and independently with internal and external groups on multiple projects and work as collaborative highly interwoven team member.
? Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
? Proven vendor management skills and adept ability to hold 3rd party vendors to timelines and deliverables.
? Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including proven proactive communications.
? Understanding of financial concepts, TCO, ROI, budget management
? Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, requirements gathering, cross-functional communication and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
? Proven executive presence, maturity, and high level of emotional intelligence.

Experience and Education (minimums):

? Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in IT related discipline
? Advanced degree preferred
