Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager, Oncology, will be responsible for the successful implementation of promotional brand plans for the U.S. Oncology Business Unit. This position will support the development and alignment of the Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Direct-to-Patient (DTP) multichannel strategic brand plans by driving the execution of marketing tactics within the rare disease/oncology marketplace.

Main Responsibilities: agency management, budget management, patient education materials development and implementation, campaign plan development and implementation, coordination planning with market research, consumer message and creative development, conventions and regional meetings management.

Essential Functions:

Identifies strategic market opportunities and makes recommendations to enhance market potential and brand penetration.

Helps develop and execute the Brand Plan in order to meet objectives for the brand.

Develops and executes marketing initiatives/ programs for HCPs to support the brand’s critical success factors.

Oversees execution of tactics as it relates to HCPs & Consumers for the brand.

Manage web/media activities; deploy innovative print and digital media.

Brand lifecycle management; including preparation for launch of new potential indications.

Manage HCP conference related marketing activities and society engagement.

Works with marketing & sales management, legal, regulatory, medical, market access and market research to ensure appropriate understanding and implementation of the brand strategy.

Develops professional relationships and contacts with physician, patient and advocacy leaders.

Work closely with all sales force counterparts and gaining insights for sales force needs.

Provide strategic direction to the Business Analytics team for any needs of the brand.

Manage timelines and budgets in accordance with brand plan.

Responsible for directing and monitoring third party contractors and vendors.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in therapeutic oncology marketing.

Experience in leading and developing long range brand plans, budgets and forecasts.

Experience managing congress and conference related marketing activities.

Experience managing web/media activities; demonstrated ability deploying innovative print and digital media.

Experience in providing input for public relations and advocacy efforts.

Experience in working closely with all sales force counterparts and gaining insights for sales force needs.

Understands US reimbursement environment including governmental programs.
Experience tracking and managing budgets with finance counterparts.

Strong interpersonal & presentation skills required.

Strong team player - demonstrated ability to deal with all levels of the organization.

Solid business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including field colleagues and senior management.

Skills & Requirements

Reporting Relationships/Significant Contacts:

The Senior Product Manager, Oncology will report directly to the Brand Lead.

Experience & Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, MBA preferred
Biopharma commercial leadership; minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, with at least 2 of those years in U.S. oncology marketing
Successful Oncology launch experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others
Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated consistent track record of success and delivering strong sales results
Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience
Significant experience in, and knowledge of, oncology specialty markets with complex science and reimbursement
Documented success in leading cross functional teams
Demonstrated success in project, vendor, and budget management
Pharmaceutical sales and/or sales management experience
Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.
Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
Willingness/ability to travel domestically. International travel may be required

Essential Functions – Physical Position Requirements: Machines and/or Equipment Used:

· PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.)

· Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.

· Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.

· Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.

· Close vision required for computer usage.

· Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 pounds.
