Job Description:


This position is responsible for development, overseeing, guidance, scheduling and coordination of internal and external implementation of (GxP and non-GxP system) electrical distribution system maintenance programs to support Manufacturing facilities, R&D Laboratory, facility building operations, utilities and equipment. The incumbent is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for all aspects of Electrical infrastructure and distribution systems. The incumbent will also demonstrate knowledge and experience on programming and troubleshooting PLC, DDC controls as well as BMS, EMS building management systems experience. Assists with troubleshooting alarms and correcting malfunctions. The incumbent interacts with other Facility and Maintenance team members and as the SME/S (Subject Matter Expert/Specialist) supports them in their effort to effect maintenance work and plan any other short term or long term projects. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical expertise and is accountable for performing maintenance (scheduled and non-scheduled) of all Electrical equipment and utilities (new and pre-existing) within the complex which includes, main supply distribution systems, switchgears, transformers, electrical panels, all related HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, controls, humidifiers, dehumidifiers etc. The incumbent interacts with building maintenance Support Company, production, lab service group, office manager, IT and other site services as required. Shall be self-starter and work individually or in conjunction with other members of the department. Position may require to work alternate shifts/weekends for coverage. The incumbent is responsible to prepare/plan equipment replacement (life cycle) to include in capital spending plan. Must have knowledge to work with GMP systems.


•Plan and assist maintenance management in the planning, execution of PM activities to ensure efficient, timely and smooth operations. (Electrical distribution system, PLCs, controls and Building Management System)
•Plan long term plan for electrical system LC (Life Cycle)
•Take of BMS/EMS system update and download without impacting operations and office personnel comfort.
•Be proficient at operation and resolving electrical and/or control problems of HVAC utilities equipment with an emphasis on building utilities for the office, lab and manufacturing facilities.
•Must have expert knowledge of operation and function of Electrical distribution, PLCs, controls and components.
•Must have expert knowledge of operation, function and troubleshooting of BMS and EMS systems and controls.
•Be able to work after hours or on weekends to provide support for the building systems and utilities.
•Perform on-demand and preventive maintenance on BMS/EMS systems. Work directly with vendors or independently to resolve electrical/mechanical issues with software and building utilities.
•A substantial amount of time will be to interact with outside contractors and equipment vendors. Some time will be spent performing individual tasks.
•While working in manufacturing building adhere to cGMPs, SOPs, facility and site SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) policies.
•Review/approve documentation to ensure accurate, concise documentation is submitted and meets all cGMP requirements and internal SOP’s. Investigate out of compliance events, implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive actions and document accordingly in Trackwise system.
•Perform other duties as assigned



•Engineering degree (Electrical, automation, mechanic or equivalent).
•Minimum 10 years of Electrical Building and equipment infrastructure and distribution experience. Experience with at least five (5) years in pharmaceutical or related industry.
•Expert knowledge of Electrical systems, PLCs and controls and CMMS, BMS and EMS systems.
•Demonstrated effective communicating and interpersonal skills.
•Previous experience working in controlled critical areas (GMP environment) is preferred.
•HVAC experience a plus
•Must have strong problem solving skills.
•Capable of using hand and machine tools to repair the existings systems and equipment.
•Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things.
•Able to lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
•Able to move freely around in a manufacturing environment, including moving about on stairs, loading docks, and ladders, and in an around machines with moving parts.
•Must be able to lead a team of specialist to solve complex problems
