We are committed to finding treatment options for patients living with life-threatening diseases. Our lead product candidate is ataluren for the treatment of patients with genetic disorders due to a nonsense mutation. Ataluren is in clinical development for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy (nmDMD). Ataluren has been approved under the trade name Translarna™ in the European Union for ambulatory patients with nmDMD who are 5 years and older.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary research environment. He/she will work independently and contribute to the research efforts of our oncology research team.

Qualifications: 

Education/Experience required

BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or recognized equivalent discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant research experience,

OR

MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or recognized equivalent discipline and a minimum of 2 years relevant research experience,

Skills and knowledge required

*Strong experimental skills in performing routine cellular and molecular assays.

*Experience/expertise in cell culture, molecular cloning, ELISA, Western, Southern and Northern blot and FACS.

*Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and problem-solving skills.

*Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills, are also essential.

Skills and knowledge preferred

*RNA biology research background
