Job Description:

The VP Sales is responsible for the management of multiple field based salesforces. The VP of Sales collaborates with assigned sales leaders to implement strategic plans and oversees the implementation and execution of contract deliverables and sales goals to maximize client satisfaction for each contract. Plans, organizes and monitors activities/projects to maximize the business potential for each client and influence contract renewals and expansions. Provides information and suggestions to the Sr. VP & General Manager related to sales strategies, sales plans, and market share data. Regularly updates senior leadership on contract performance. Provides guidance and development to Sales Management. Reinforces compliant practices and ensures excellent expense management practices.

This position is located in our home offices in Yardley, PA.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
-Manages assigned Sales Leaders in the delivery of contract goals/results, expense management/profitability vs. contract objectives, and training and development of sales management team
-Responsible for talent management and development of sales leaders with a specific focus on the Senior Sales Leaders.
-Participate in organizations new business development efforts
-Represent the organization at selected meetings.
-Assistant in the development and presentation of proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
-Works closely with Client Services/Sales Operations/HR/Recruiting to deliver sales force requirements
-Develops optimal retention programs and territory staffing solutions
-Participates in contract negotiations with existing and prospective clients
-Identifies new business opportunities within existing clients
-Supports and attends appropriate capabilities/site inspection presentations for new business opportunities
-Partners with Sr. VP & GM to plan and recommend sales force design and configurations for new and prospective clients
-Participates in assigned Publicis new launches. Provides critical launch information to all Publicis Health departments. Responsible for flawless project implementation.
-Establishes and maintains effective relationships with existing client teams, meeting with client teams on a regular basis to assess possible steps to improve service
-Fosters a work environment that is free from harassment
-Establishes and conducts formal business review meetings with Sales Leaders; communicating company vision and current goals and expectations for sales leadership team
-Manages and monitors budgets for the profitable delivery of client assignments
-Assesses the impact and effectiveness of client projects, including the measurement of client satisfaction
-Identifies new capabilities and areas of strategic value
-Maintains the required information technology expertise, competitive product knowledge, and selling skills in accordance with Publicis Health /client standards and government regulations
-Establishes and maintains effective communications with all client contacts
-Updates executive team and field force on issues pertinent to the success of the organization
-Monitors contractual requirements and their fulfillment; ensuring compliance with Publicis Health policies and government regulations
-Develops and implements policies and programs as it relates to the field sales team, including bonus plan, incentive programs.


Education and Experience:
-BS Degree or equivalent required
-10+ years in Pharmaceutical sales and sales management
-10+ years broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on sales, account management, business development and marketing.
-Exposure to a wide range of therapeutic and OTC categories, extensive exposure to market analysis and pricing strategies, analysis of pharmaceutical industry trends and directions.
-Demonstrated excellence in ability to recruit, retain and develop highest quality staff
-Track record of exceeding project objectives
-Demonstrated ability to maximize contract profitability and ensure compliance
