Job Description:

The Global Medical Lead for ARIKAYCE will be responsible for leading a team of medical directors to support ARIKAYCE through its life cycle via leadership of medical affairs strategy and guidance. Together with the SVP, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs for ARIKAYCE, this new role will have responsibility for supporting launch activities, primarily in the United States and transferring that knowledge to other regions of the world, and will be recognized as part of a high value medical team with the external medical community. This role will play a critical role in engagement of the external medical community.

•Leadership role within a cross functional team of medical professionals in planning and executing all aspects of the global integrated medical affairs plans
•Medical leadership of external medical advisory boards
•Support strategy, design and execution of Phase 4 company sponsored studies
•Provide medical expertise into the product marketing strategies
•Provide medical support to the review of medical materials, including standard medical information response documents, and materials used by Field Medical
•Provide support to the medical communications strategy and execution (Abstracts, posters, publications)
•Contribute to the strategy and review for Independent Medical Education in compliance with internal process
•Provide medical support to Drug Safety for any product alerts in the US
•Oversee evaluation of data gaps and provide support to the processes related to Investigator Initiated Studies
•Collaboratively work with other key stakeholders (Field Medical, Clinical Development, HEOR, Market Access, Commercial)


•Requires a Board-certified Physician (M.D. or MD/Ph.D or DO). Specialization in pulmonary or infectious diseases is a plus.
•Minimum 10 years of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, working in Medical Affairs. Experience in Clinical Development is a plus. Specific position level will be commensurate with experience.
•Prior people management required.
•Prior experience in a pulmonary disease is strongly preferred. Additional experience in infectious diseases or rare diseases also highly valued
•Prior experience in supporting a product launch strongly preferred
•Demonstrated understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance policies
•Requires strong business acumen with strategic thinking and highly effective analytic skills
•Must have excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
•Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.
•Excellent organizational agility and cross-functional approach is essential
•Required travel will be approximately 20-30%; may include international travel
