Job Description:

Summary of Position

Amicus Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of developing next-generation medicines to treat a range of rare and orphan diseases, with a focus on improved therapies for Lysosomal Storage Disorders. The Fabry franchise represents the most advanced program at Amicus, led by a novel precision medicine, Galafold (migalastat), for patients with amenable mutations. Galafold is well on its way to becoming a global brand. Galafold has recently been launched in the United States and previously in EU, Japan, Canada and a number of other countries.

The Associate Director, US Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing the US marketing strategy. He/she will help develop strategy for Patient initiatives as well as drive tactical execution of marketing materials across all customer segments for the US market.

Roles and Responsibilities
Based on a global brand strategy and several key marketing tactics which have already been developed this individual will develop and execute the Galafold marketing strategy in the United States.
Lead the on-going brand planning, marketing execution and life cycle strategy to grow Galafold in the US from a patient perspective
Apply understanding of the global marketing landscape to develop and launch Patient campaigns which align with overall strategy.
Create our brand value through both traditional means and emerging technologies to ensure adherence to our brand strength and create a robust brand experience geared towards the Patient community.
Oversee agency relationships to ensure all aspects of marketing campaigns are on time and aligned with Amicus Patient messaging.
Effectively communicate the product positioning and core brand messages through development and execution of tactics and collateral focused on the patient.
Develop and implement US market research plan.Provide input into investment decisions and trade-offs to help inform and drive decisions.
Coordinate the related Fabry disease/Galafold product activities (patient registry, product training, etc.) with Global Marketing and Medical Affairs groups to align with the global launch strategy of the brand marketing plan.
Ensure compliance with all Amicus policies and procedures, as well as all local regulatory and legal requirements.Ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place to meet these requirements.
Drive a high performance culture by fostering innovation, customer and patient focus, personal accountability and commitment for results.
Have clear alignment with Amicus mission statement and culture including a passion for patients and the ability and desire to interact with multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative environment.


Qualifications and Background Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required(MBA preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of Product Marketing experience with aprox of 7yrs related to commercial function experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Rare Disease experience highly desirable with requirement of understanding of specialty therapeutics.
Strong Patient Marketing experience is required with some exposure to HCP marketing.
Experience of classic marketing discipline and digital marketing experience highly desirable.
Confidence and credibility to partner with Global Marketing, Medical, Patient Advocacy and Business Operations counterparts.
Ability to work effectively in a growing organization with a matrix and global environment, and hold position without extensive infrastructure support.
Collaboration with external marketing agencies to ensure strategy and campaigns are being executed
High proficiency in problem solving and coming up with creative solutions to capture a patient audience in the Rare Disease community.
Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English), including strong formal presentation skills in front of internal and external audiences.
Ability to convey unique and often times complex science based therapies to patient audiences
Management experience is strongly preferred.

Up to 20% domestic and international travel
