Summary
Reports to the Director, Internal Communications. This person will be a responsible, thorough, detail-oriented recent college graduate with proficiency in writing, basic journalistic research and proofreading. The Internal Communications Specialist will assist the Director in implementing the Global Corporate Communications strategy, which includes preparing and disseminating news from across the company from all departments, including senior management via intranet, email, and hard copy.

Objective and Goals:
• Learn the Celgene mission, vision, values and culture.
• Learn the brand image, identity and corporate culture.
• Assist the Director in gathering and disseminating news and information worldwide that reinforces and strengthens the Celgene mission, vision , values and culture and maintains the brand image and identity.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Serve as central point of contact for international communications network, reviewing potential messages and soliciting news and messaging updates from Celgene employees worldwide.
• Assist in writing internal communications, including Celgene intranet articles, news stories, documents, FAQs, introductions and presentations and publish on the intranet on ourCelgene.
• Assists in producing video segments for posting on CGNN and for use by individual departments.
• Assist the Director in the management, production and coordination of Town Hall Meetings originating in Summit and global Celgene locations.
• Maintain a corporate communications editorial calendar.
• Assist in building and maintaining a Celgene photo library.
• Assist in building and maintaining a library of Celgene materials for the entire company to use.
• Support individual departments with their communications efforts.
• Manage and update Celgene corporate information on the internet as needed.
• Work with the Corporate Responsibility management team to support CR initiatives.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
• B.A. degree in Communications or Journalism or a related business discipline.
• Coursework or interest in medicine, healthcare and medical fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent research skills, outstanding attention to detail, proven time management skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong examples of practical communications efforts and outcomes in college coursework, internships and any paid, professional work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, Sharepoint knowledge a bonus
• Ability to travel on a limited basis, if needed – ~10% of time
